Hoffmaster Camping

We spent last weekend camping at Hoffmaster State Park. We went with three other couples and there was a total of 10 kids. We went to the beach every day and the water was so warm. Ashley went to the beach for the first time too - not fond of the water, but liked the sand. All the kids played so well together I think it was more of a vacation for the adults than the kids. The kids would entertain each other all day with hardly no fighting. The weather was great and we had a great time with firends and some good laughs.
Sound asleep on the way home. When we got home Jacob was outside and then they were wide awake.

Sound Asleep

Kenzie had such a busy day today. We went strawberry picking in the morning and then we came home and she helped make jam. Brooke and Kenzie were full of strawberries so I sent them outside to play with the hose. They both watched TV right before supper and this is how I found Kenzie. She fell asleep in Ashley's car seat and slept there for probably an hour.

Weekend

Corey spent the weekend golfing with my dad, brother, and his dad at Shanty Creek. They had a great time away from their wives and kids. With Corey gone on Friday I had to ride out the storm by myself and with two scared girls. I'm so thankful that we didn't get any water in our basement, I don't know what I would have done if we did. Saturday Brooke and Kenzie went to Grandma De Vries' for the night. I didn't know what to so with myself Saturday night with just Ashley. Corey and the girls came home Sunday afternoon so we got to spend some time together on Father's Day. We went to Brandon and Kristin's house for supper at night which was nice just to sit back and visit. Kenzie caught a frog at their house and she kept it in a container. It became a game later on to take it out and try and catch it again.
Friday night the girls didn't want to sleep in their bed's so I let them sleep with me until the storm passed.

6 Months

Ashley is 6 months already. She is starting to giggle at her sisters and is all smiles. She is almost sitting by herself -still is not a big fan of rolling. She takes after Brooke when she was little that Ashley's legs are always kicking even in her sleep. She weighed in at 15 pounds 12 ounces a long way from the 5 pounds 11 ounces 6 months ago. She is such a joy to have around. It's amazing how fast 6 months have gone.

Swimming Lessons

The girls have been taking swimming lessons for the last 2 weeks. They love going every night and they loved that Dad, and both Grandma's came and watched them. I'm amazed at how much they had learned.

Kenzie jumping off the side. She always tells her teacher to come closer to catch her.

Brooke jumping off the diving board. No fear for her this year.

Ludington State Park

We spent a long weekend camping at Ludington with a few friends. This was our first camping trip of the year and it went great. There were a total of 7 kids that went and they all played so well together. We did a lot of hiking, fishing, looking for deer, and playing in the sand by the trailers. Ashley did great she slept through the nights and was content being outside. The weather was not the greatest if you asked me, but Corey thought it was great. Thursday and Friday were nice a little cool. Saturday was cold with no sun and it rained off and on during the day. We got home on Sunday and I got the trailer all cleaned out. Now onto my laundry - somehow the kids just know where all the mud puddles and dirt are. Sorry I couldn't get the pictures to go where they needed to go - so it looks a little funny.

Ashley's Room

I finally finished Ashley's room. Corey kept telling me to hold off on re doing it just in case we sell the house, well the house is not selling and I got sick of looking at the border and the purple walls. I finally took it in my hands and I tore the border off, got the paint, painted, put the wall words up, and made the frames. My dad painted all the pink walls for me, that saved a lot of time for me.
