The Girl's Pictures

I had the girl's pictures taken last week and got the proofs back today. They turned out so great!! Check them out gallery here

Weekend

We had a busy weekend. Friday Brooke and I went with a friend to Christ Memorial Church to see and play/musical that the Holland Christian Middle schoolers put on about Mosses. Brooke LOVED it. On the way home she asked if we could see it again. Friday night we went to Brooke's school for a fun night. The girls played games, ate, and got lots of candy and oh yes they each won a fish. We brought two fish home and put them in the fish bowl and Kenzie just loves watching them swim. Well the next morning Kenzies fish was floating on the top - yes it died. She said it's sleeping. We still have one fish alive - lucky us. Saturday we went for lunch with Corey and we had to show the house again in the afternoon so out again we go. It was an older couple and their not sure if they want so much square footage, but they loved it. Sunday we had a slide show at Church of our serve project in Mississippi and then a potluck after that. We come home and all took naps and then back to church at night. We had to show our house again today - that's 3 this week!! Thursday I have to drive for Brooke's field trip to the airport. At night we start the busy Dutch Dancing downtown Holland. Other than that not much going on the rest of the week.

Weekend Away

We spent the weekend in Traverse City with the De Vries family. We left Friday at noon and got home Sunday afternoon. We all rode in the motorhome together. It's starting to get small with all the grandkids in there know. It was so nice to get away from the everyday life around here. Corey was sick the whole time and spent most of the weekend in bed sleeping. We did a little shopping at the outlet and downtown. I think the highlight of shopping was finding a shop that had all Red Hat Ladies things for Kathy - I'm surprised we didn't get kicked out of that store we were so loud and laughing the whole time. She didn't buy anything. We went swimming with the girls everyday - I think they could have spent all day at the pool and the game room. Grandma and mom played by the beach with them for awhile. Brooke found lots of seashells on the beach so yes we have them all at home now. We stayed at the Sugar Beach Resort very nice we got upgraded to the water view room. We had a great trip know it's time to unpack and start all the laundry.

Star Helper

Brooke was the star helper at school today. She got to bring mom along to help out in the classroom. Today was also a special day in class - it was pet day. Since we don't have a pet she asked Grandma Tubergan if she could bring their dog along. Rasckle (?) came to visit Brooke today at school. Brooke loved showing him off.

Dad Gone = Girl's Have Fun

Corey was gone Friday and Saturday to a builder show at Soaring Eagle. That means that I was home with the girl all day and night on top of that it was Spring Break for Brooke so no breaks with school for her. Friday morning we went to visit Grandma and Grandpa Kerkstra they loved seeing the girls again. We also had lunch there. We got home and all took naps and then headed off to Rivertown with my mother-in-law and my sister-in-law meet us for supper. The girls rode the carousel and played in the play area and I did some shopping. We got home around 9 and I could put them right down and I had a nice quite night. Saturday we went out to lunch with my mom. Brooke had her first birthday party that afternoon and was so excited to go. I was such a bad mom and brought her to the party a half hour late - I thought it started at 1:30 oh no it was 1:00. Corey came home late afternoon and we rented some movies and watch Dan in Real Life. Sunday we went to my parents for lunch. My sister-in-law (Kristin) sang in our church at night and who knew she could sing so well. That was our weekend in a wrap. Not much going on this week. Brooke's back at school and is the star helper on Thursday. We are heading up to Traverse City on Friday with the De Vries family. I can't wait to get away.

Happy Birthday Kenzie

Kenzie is 2 today!! Wow how time flies. I seems like yesterday she was born. We had a birthday party for her on Saturday with the Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles. She got so many toys - just what we need more of. Brooke wanted to help her open presents so bad so she started to rip the paper then Kenzie finished. Brooke got Kenzie a little baby that moves and cries when you hold it she loved it. She gets to open more gifts tonight from mom and dad. We are so thankful for the wonderful two years she has been with us she has been healthy and happy most of the time. Now we're getting into the terrable two - WATCH OUT!!!
