First Day of Kindergarden

7:30 came awful early this morning. I had to get both girls out of bed and ready to go by 8:20. Brooke was excited and ready to go and Kenzie I think was still half sleeping when we dropped Brooke off. She had a half day today and I think she had fun. She played on the playground by herself because she couldn't find her friends she told me (almost crying). She did say that was a long time at school today mom and I just think you wait until tomorrow which is a full day. No busing this week for her so next week she'll start that. I think me and her need all the prayers for that she does not want to ride the bus and I'm afraid she won't find her bus. She has to transfer at Quincy school a little scary for both of us.

Girls Weekend

Well Corey decided to leave us for a long weekend. Corey, Clayton, Ryan, and Jason all decided to head down to Missouri on Friday to look for hunting spots and are returning today. Like Corey needs any more hunting spots, he's busy enough around here. This is 1 of his 4 trips down there, so I think I better get use to having him gone for the next couple months. Friday night I went out for supper with Kathy, Megan, and Evan. Boy do I miss Corey when the girls don't listen to me. Just say I had to bring Kenzie into the bathroom for a little talk, but it worked I was so proud of myself and that she actually listened. Kathy took the girls for me Friday night until Saturday late afternoon. I didn't know what to do with myself. I went to Rivertown and shopped and came home and washed my car and then just hung around home until the girls came back. Sunday we went to church and I made Brooke's favorite soup corn chowder - I think she had 3 bowls full. Monday we had to visit Brooke's classroom and bring all her school supplies in and tonight we get to ride the school bus for a practice run. We have a busy this week with Brooke starting school - I'll post some pictures of the first day later on this week.

Boy or Girl?

Don't you wish you know? Well we are in the same boat as you. We had our ultrasound about 2 weeks ago and no we did not find out what we were having. Like Corey always says "you don't get many surprises in life - so we'll make this a surprise" I can't argue with that. If you ask the girls what they think it is Brooke will say boy and Kenzie will just say baby. We got the ultrasound report back yesterday and everything looks good - a true blessing. Sorry the picture is no the greatest.

Why??

We are looking at our lives a little different these days. This weekend we found out that Brian and Kathi Busscher's little girl Grace drowned. Our heart ache for them and can't even imagine what they are going through. We ask why does this happen to such great people who loved their little girl so much. It's amazing how life can change in just a second. We are so thankful to have two wonderful girls. We are thankful for the things that drive us nuts. Some how the little things we complain about don't really bother us any more. We can't even think of coming home with out one of our girls. Please pray hard for the Busscher family as they have a long road ahead of them without their daughter.

Two Wheels

Brooke learned how to ride her bike with no training wheels on. She rides up and down our road 3 or 4 times by herself everyday and sometimes twice a day. It's great to see that great big smile on her face when she comes back up the driveway.
